Tyrosine kinases are the cores!
connecting Akt pathway (receptor is RTK, ligand is survival factors like IGF1), Ras/MAPK pathway (receptor is RTK, ligands are growth factors like EGF) and ECM receptor pathway (integrin and ECM, with tyrosine kinases including FAK and Src). There are a lot of crosstalk among these three:
1, Activated Ras (by GEF) can activate PI3K
2, Integrin and focal adhesins have effectors include Akt/PKB, MAPK and small GTPases, literally all of them include in proliferation). Precisely speaking integrin can affect: focal adhesion kinase (FAK), the Src family kinase fyn, MAP kinase, protein phosphatases, SH2–SH3 adaptors, Rho-family GTPases and phospholipid mediators
3, SH2 and SH3 domain of Src (downstream the RTK and integrin) and FAK (can amplify signal by docking with Src SH2) (in a word, they all tyrosine kinase so plenty of crosstalk can happen)
